A comprehensive two day introduction to fly fishing that will give you express entry into the sport and cut years from the learning process. We take you through all you need to know, starting at the beginning with gear and basic fly casting and finishing withchoosing the right fly and presenting it to fish in the wild.
The workshop commences at 9.30am on Saturday October 20 at our fly fishing centre in Thornton. We provide all of the gear including flies, rods, waders, morning/afternoon tea, lunch and instruction. All you need to bring is appropriate clothing and a sense of humor!
All are welcome to join us on this weekend. While it is a Beginner's Workshop in name, many intermediate fly fishers will get a lot out of the it as we move onto the bigger issues of entomology, fly selection and streamcraft by lunch time on the first day.
Both days end on dusk back at the fly fishing centre.
