Eddie with a lovely Rubicon River brown
Photo 1: Dennis looks pleased with this beautiful brown taken on a recent trip to the South Island of NZ. I cropped Geoff out of the shot as best I could.

Wading the rubi; summertime fishing

Photo 2: Penny Stokes living up to her name. A great fish. One of if not the best fish we saw landed for the season. This big brown has eluded us for a couple of years and is always in the same place. On a two raft drift on a hot and slow day this fish more than made up for some otherwise tough conditions. The fish came up for a dry fished in tight to the willows.

Martyn displays a fine Goulburn brownie

Photo 3: Grandfather and son! Grandson is doing his best Al Qaeda impersonation while grandpa looks lovingly over his shoulder. A great fish and Grandpa looks pleased with the outcome.

Antony with the spoils of a good dun hatch

Photo 4: Woody releasing a great brown taken up near the pondage gates. This fish moved about eight feet to eat his large hopper pattern. It was a prototype out for its first run and took this 3lb fish within 10 minutyes of coming out of the box.

Peter with the reward for a full morning's fishing

Photo 5: Craig with a big grin. Now you wouldnt think divorce lawyers smile, except for maybe when they check their bank balance, but there it is, preserved for all of eternity! And they say that the camera never lies.

What a memorable fish! We worked hard

Photo 6: Grahame here with a solid brown. This fish is actually thirteen pound as Grahame is a huge Scotsman with dinner plate hands and size 18 feet! Ok thats a lie but it's a great fish nonetheless.

This fish rose once in a backwater

Photo 7: Dennis and Geoff with the same fish shown in Photo 1. While I am great with Photoshop I am not that great. As you can see, Geoff is still there!!

Grahame with a fish worth smiling

Photo 8: Keith with a South Island lowland river brownie. Even the smaller creeks have great fish that we would die for back at home, but after a few days there you start getting blaise and blowing off fish like this in search of 'good ones'!

Eddie with a memorable fish taken

Photo 9: Another day in NZ and another story to tell. Solid browns in small water on dry flies is the reason we go there every year. Fly fishing doesnt get much better than this.

A typical Goulburn backwater fish.

Photo 10: Not another divorce lawyer! Oh it's Craig again. Which reminds me 'How do you know when a lawyer is lying?' His lips are moving! OK a bad joke and an old one and Ive managed to offend about 17% of our clientele in one go but whats life without a little bit of colour.

A shot that sums up what we do beautifully.

Photo 11: Barry with a nice brown taken from the Rubi! A hot day and the rewards for patient fishing with Geoff in tow. Geoff took this photo so no cropping required.

The Rubicon again! This is one of

Photo 12: Cameron with a fish thrust in the lens. Thats because Cameron is huge with dinner plate sized hands and size 18 feet and every fish looks small when he is holding it! A fish taken in the first hundred metres of a half day raft trip, you can see the Pondage Gates in the background.

The Rubicon again! This is one of

Photo 13: A fabulous fish taken on a wet fly on his first fish on the fly. A great photo of a great fish and a great way to start a life of fly fishing.

The Rubicon again! This is one of

Photo 14: Yet another great fish from our lakes. Some of these fish are monsters and we would not recommend wading if you have watched JAWS in the past few months.

The Rubicon again! This is one of

Photo 15: The 'Smiling Asassin'. David with yet another tremendous fish taken from our lakes. Although it can hardly be called sporting when he lives in the building behind you and can see these fish swimming all around day. They are almost like pets to us. Nevertheless a great fish that anyone would be happy to catch.
