Goulburn
Valley Fly Fishing Centre (GVFFC)
is a unique adobe style building that successfully
mixes
the best of old and new. The roof
is uniquely Australian (Gum Green ColourBond) and the clever use of
Mountain Ash pole and beam construction
only add to the charm.
Located
exactly half way between the townships of Alexandra
and Eildon and almost on the junction of the
Goulburn and Rubicon Rivers, it is the perfect
base for fly fishing this great region.
Those
driving up from the east side of Melbourne will
more than likely drive through the magnificent
Black Spur as they leave Healesville heading
for Thornton. This is a breathtaking drive and
ranks up there with the great ocean road for
sheer beauty.
We
have provided a couple of maps to give you an
idea of how to get us. We are under two hours
drive from anywhere in Melbourne with access
via the Maroondah Hwy and Hume Hwy the most
popular. Access from the state's west has never
been easier with the Western Ring Road now taking
you to the Hume Hwy and by-passing Melbourne
altogether.
