CANCELLATION POLICY

As a small specialised business, cancellations hurt us greatly. They often occur at short notice and leave us unable to book out the spots. This results in a loss of income not only to our business, but also to the guides we employ. We ask that you carefully read our cancellation policy as we strictly enforce it to protect ourselves and our employees. Separate cancellation policies for our specialty trips including the Swampy Plains, Mitta Mitta, Snowy Mountains and New Zealand can be found at the bottom of this page.

We strongly urge you to consider taking out appropriate travel insurance to cover any possible changes to your circumstances in regards to our specialty trips e.g. New Zealand, as last minute cancellations could be costly.

GOULBURN VALLEY FLY FISHING CENTRE RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICY


Please secure your reservation for fly fishing services or accommodation with a Visa/Master Card. A $1 deposit is taken at the time of booking with the balance to be paid no later than the day of the trip. Booking your trip confirms acceptance of our cancellation policy as outlined below.

In the event of your cancellation:

1. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 14 days before your scheduled trip date.

2. For cancellations within 14 days of the trip, a $25 administration fee is applicable but the remaining portion of your deposit is refundable, if we can find a replacement to fill the spot. We will attempt to do this via our website and mailing lists, but if we cannot find a replacement for your trip, the full deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled start of the trip will be charged the full amount.

No-shows, parties arriving with less guests than booked and last minute cancellations (within 72 hours of the trip), will be charged the full amount.

Please remember that fishing is an outdoor activity and you must come prepared for the elements. We do not issue rain checks/cancellations for inclement weather conditions. Please bear in mind that bad weather in Melbourne does not necessarily mean bad weather here. Most cold fronts slip to the south of the Great Diving Range, leaving us dry when Melbourne is wet. We want you to have fun and will not try to force you to fish in atrocious conditions, but many cancellations would be avoided by simply discussing the options with us.

If we determine that the weather is a problem, we will offer you an alternative booking day/time or refund you in full. See Guiding FAQ for further explanation.

Gift Certificates

1. Your Gift Certificate booking date is fully transferable if you notify us at least 14 days before your scheduled trip date.

2. For cancellations within 14 days of the trip, the Gift Certificate is null and void.

3. Gift certificates cannot be resold .e.g. E-Bay

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SPECIALTY TRIPS e.g. Swampy Plains, Mitta Mitta, Snowy Mountains.

For cancellation of specialty trips at least one calendar month before the trip date, the full deposit is refundable less a $100 administration fee. For cancellations less than 30 days before the scheduled trip date, the full deposit is forfeited. Cancellations less than 14 days from the scheduled trip date will be billed the full trip amount (unless we rebook the spot).

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY FOR NEW ZEALAND TRIPS

A deposit of AU$1,000 per person is due within 7 days of booking to secure your spot. No bookings are secured without receipt of a deposit. A valid credi card must also be provided at the time of booking. The balance must be paid by December 1, prior to your trip's departure. Please contact us if you are having problems with this timeline.

All cancellations must be received in writing either via email or letter. Please follow this up with a phone call to ensure it's arrival. For cancellations 3 calendar months or more prior to the start of the trip, all deposits and/or final payments will be refunded (minus a $500.00 cancellation/rebooking fee).

Cancellations made less than 3 calendar months from the start date of the trip, will be refunded (minus a $500.00 cancellation fee) ONLY if we are able to resell your spot.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled trip date will be billed the full trip amount.
