Our comfortable and well appointed cottage is the perfect destination for the visiting fly fisher, having its own private catch and release fishery just outside the front door.



The cottage is fully self-contained and sleeps up to four comfortably (three singles and a queen). A kitchen with all the comforts of home, including a dishwasher and view across our beautiful lakes, ensures that cooking a meal of an evening is a pleasant experience. The Weber BBQ on the front verandah is a guest favourite, as are the fabulous eye fillet steaks that the legendary Thornton butcher provides for all who care to drop by.

The bedrooms are private and are comprised of one queen size bed in the master bedroom and two singles beds plus a pull-out trundle in the spare room. The two bedrooms share an en suite bathroom and are great for a group of mates or a family wanting to spend some time away together.



The adobe construction ensures that the building remains cool in summer and warm in winter, making them an ideal place to stay at any time of the year. To be sure that you are comfortable we have also installed a powerful split system to asssist with warming and cooling the building.

Those staying in the cottage have access to our private catch and release fly fishery for the duration of their stay. That is from 10.30am on the day of arrival until dark on the night of departure. Guests also are able to use the lounge area of the main centre during their stay with access to wireless internet there.

Check-in is from 12.30pm on the day of your arrival and departure is strictly 10.30am the morning of departure. Bag storage can be arranged at any time. Early check ins and late checkouts subject to other bookings. Check before you arrive.

For those who do not want to cook, meals are available at the Rubicon Hotel a hundred metres up the road and at the Four Ways Diner that is open late every night. There are also many options within a short drive including the Yarck Tea Rooms, Giddy Goat Cafe and the new Vietnamese restaurant in Buxton. All of which are highly recommended.

* There are no pets allowed in the cottage but they are allowed on the property. Please discuss the options when booking. Email can be accessed in the main lodge but we have deliberately kept phones out of the cottage! There is mobile phone reception on most of our property and in the local area. Smoking is not allowed in any of our buildings.
