We (GVFFC) are located in the small country town of Thornton in the state of Victoria, Australia. The closest capital city is Melbourne which is a comfortable two hour drive away.

Melbourne airport is also two hours drive, making it easy for most visiting fly fishers to get away and chase some trout while visiting Australia.There are two main ways to find your way to us from Melbourne. If you are starting out from the northern or western (airport) side of the city the best way is to come up via the Hume Hwy (see green route on Map 2).

For those in the CBD and eastern side of the city, the quickest way to us is via the Maroondah Hwy (see blue route on Map 2) and the scenic Black Spur (see photo on right).
