This fly has worked well for me for many years now on local waters. I use it around the lakes of Tasmania for tailing fish early in the season, in Goulburn backwaters during the high water flows of summertime when large fish cruise the edges and in just about every river I fish across the country.

It has also been very successful back on my home waters (when I return to visit family and friends) in Montenegro where fished in tandem with a lot of weight and a long rod in fast streams, is deadly. It can be tied in several colour variations but a straight brown or this with the olive is the most effective combinations I have found
