This fly pattern is the number one choice of the guides here at Goulburn Valley Fly Fishing Centre. It is invaluable in sizes #12-16 and has worked very well now for the past 7 seasons both on local rivers and all trips overseas and interstate. Although strictly a moving water fly (i.e. rivers/streams) it is the best pattern we sell. Fished under a Royal Stimulator and searched upstream it gets us fish from day one of the trout season right up until the season closes in June.

This pattern is also particularly effective on the Swampy and Mitta Mitta Rivers where it has been responsible for many outsized fish. Using it as searching pattern it has no equal and holds the prized position in our boxes wherever we roam.
